Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 28, 2026  ·  TrafficJam LLC  ·  Mississippi, USA

TrafficJam™ is built on a simple promise: your conversations are ephemeral. When the jam clears, your messages disappear. We collect only what is necessary to make the app work.

1. Who We Are

TrafficJam™ is operated by TrafficJam LLC, a Mississippi limited liability company. The app connects drivers stuck in the same traffic jam so they can communicate in real time. All messages are automatically deleted when the jam clears.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the service:

3. Information We Do Not Collect

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to provide the TrafficJam™ service:

5. Subscriptions and Payments

TrafficJam™ is available as a paid subscription at $5.99 per year with an optional free trial period. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) depending on your device. TrafficJam LLC does not directly collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. as a subscription management platform. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data from Apple and Google to help us verify your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Google Play settings.

6. Data Storage and Retention

We use Google Firebase Realtime Database to store temporary jam and message data. Firebase is operated by Google LLC and subject to Google's privacy policy.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:

8. Children's Privacy

TrafficJam™ is intended exclusively for licensed drivers aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe someone under 18 has used the app or provided information through it, please contact us at trafficjamsupport@proton.me and we will delete any associated data promptly.

9. Your Rights

Because we collect minimal data and most of it is ephemeral by design, there is very little persistent data associated with you. You may:

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS. Our Firebase database uses Google's security infrastructure. Because messages are ephemeral and we collect minimal identifying information, the risk associated with any potential breach is substantially limited.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as the app evolves. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
